Adaptive Art Program

Our Adaptive Art Program invites participants to explore their creativity through a variety of projects and mediums. This is a four-week program that meets once a week, giving participants the chance to build skills, try new techniques, and grow more confident in their artistic expression. Our goal is to provide a fun and supportive environment where everyone can express themselves artistically and feel proud of what they create.

Program Length: 4 weeks

Length Per Time: 1 hour
Program Cost: $60 total
Location: Valley Therapy Services - 167 Country Ln, Jerome, ID

Participants are encouraged to attend all four weeks to get the full benefit of the program.

Who Can Participate?

Adults and Youth with disabilities ages 8+

This program is open to individuals of all abilities. We accommodate a wide range of physical, developmental, and cognitive needs. Our goal is to ensure every participant can engage fully in a safe and enjoyable art experience.

  • Intake forms completed before the program will be reviewed to confirm that all participants can safely engage in the activity

    • Individuals flagged during the intake process will, unfortunately, be unable to participate to ensure the safety of everyone involved

  • 1:5 ratio for CPR/First Aid certified personnel

  • The Program Director is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

What to Expect

  • Weekly Themes: Each week focuses on a different type of art activity, including collage, painting, clay sculpture, and collaborative projects

  • Adaptive Tools: Materials and tools are adapted to meet each participant’s needs (e.g., foam grips, adaptive brushes, pre-cut shapes)

  • One-on-One Support: Each participant is paired with a trained volunteer for individualized guidance

Sensory-Friendly Environment: Activities are paced to allow comfort and enjoyment for all participants

Registration Process

  1. Fill out the intake form 

    1. The Program Director will review applications and make a decision as soon as possible. If accepted, you’ll receive a checkout link to complete your payment and program waivers.

    2. Have you participated with us before? Intake forms are valid for 1 year. If you’re a returning participant, please email the program director (tiffani.encirclerec@gmail.com) to receive checkout instructions and any updated program waivers needed for repeat participation.

  2. Watch for the confirmation email and complete payment ($60 for 4 weeks) and waivers

Note: ⚠️ Spots are limited! Be sure to complete ALL forms (intake, checkout, and waivers) as soon as possible to secure your spot.

Safety & Accessibility

  • All activities are supervised by trained staff and volunteers

  • Adaptive tools and equipment ensure participants can safely engage in all projects

  • Breaks and sensory accommodations are available as needed
