What to Expect
Encircle Rec’s Adaptive Cycling program is a 4-week program that provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to experience biking in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Each participant is matched with an adaptive bike that best meets their individual needs, abilities, and comfort level.
Program Structure
Sessions are led by trained staff and supported by dedicated volunteers who provide one-on-one assistance as needed. Instruction and support are tailored to each participant, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace. Participants bike alongside trained volunteers for the duration of each session to provide support and encouragement.
Adaptive Equipment
A variety of adaptive cycles are available, including trikes and other specialized bikes. Helmets are required and can be provided if participants do not have their own.
